Mission: Faith Alive
The Faith Alive Foundation is an experiment in hope.
In Nigeria, 3.6 million people are infected with HIV/AIDS.  Nearly 2 million children have been orphaned as a result of the AIDS epidemic and 70% of Nigerians live on less than $1 a day.
Yet, standing in the way of these brutal statistics and the harsh realities they represent is a mustard seed of hope.  In an act of tremendous faith, and despite overwhelming odds, Drs. Christian & Mercy Isichei sought to make a difference in the lives of many of those people living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria.  And so, in 1996, they founded the Faith Alive Clinic & Counseling Center.  Armed with their training as medical doctors and a deep abiding faith in Jesus, the Isichei’s began addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals and families affected by the AIDS epidemic.
But the Isicheis knew they couldn’t do it alone.  And so from the beginning they prayed that the God who prompted them to begin Faith Alive would also send people to walk alongside them in their little experiment of hope.
This website, Mission:Faith Alive, is the journey of one family who joined the Isichei’s in that experiment; Matthew & Lisa Watson and their young son Nathan.
